I didnt really start learning until I got my commodore 64..  although I remember buying the programming magazines so that i could copy the programs from inside them to see what they did...  Syntax error on line 10... Fix, run again - syntax error on line 20, fix run again, syntax error on line 30... lol...  thank god technology has advanced so much since then...
