FileVault Corruption
August 7th, 2005 · Comments · Uncategorized
Sometime in the last couple of days (possibly the last week) the sparse image that FileVault stores my home directory within got corrupt. I noticed it yesterday when checking out Objective C files from subversion that ended up containing fragments of XML instead of the Objective-C source code they should have contained.
It turned out the [...]

Mail.app hangs - problem and solution?
August 3rd, 2005 · Comments · Uncategorized

July 13th, 2005 · Comments · Uncategorized

The bug has been analysed by Apache [...]

Dan Wood and Terrence Talbot of karelia.com have blogged about their new product: SandVox. They described it as an “iApp for website publishing”. They also presented a quick informal demo of it today at lunch during WWDC. Very polished and slick. Like Watson it has been written with extensibility through plug-ins as a core feature [...]

mod_spotlight_apple
June 1st, 2005 · Comments · Uncategorized
Mac OS X 10.4 Server includes an Apache module called “mod_spotlight_apple”. This module allows (obviously enough) searching your webserver via spotlight. More information is available here:
http://images.apple.com/server/pdfs/Web_Technologies_Admin_v10.4.pdf
The gist of it enabling it is:
Enable mod_spotlight_apple using the Web section of the Server Admin tool. Then browse http://<yourserver>/.spotlight to see the rather primitive search screen.
Of course based on [...]

Omni has (probably quite some time ago but I’ve only just noticed) updated their Mac OS X User Statistics to include Tiger. Tiger is definitely holding its own.
