Speaking of Subversion

May 19th, 2005 · Comments · Default

Michael Sinz has created a great web front-end for subversion source code repositories called insurrection (also tigris home page). Try the test repository at http://.sinz.com:8000/. The front-end provides a heck of a lot of functionality that other front-ends don’t - such as the ability to drill down into the directory structure (like Mac OS X [...]

Subversion via DarwinPorts

February 1st, 2005 · Comments · Uncategorized

Doxygen 1.3.9 Released - With Extra Loving for Objective-C

October 6th, 2004 · Comments · Uncategorized

<objective-C. I’m glad I can finally abandon Apple’s HeaderDoc> and use the far more sophisticated Doxygen. DarwinPorts hasn’t updated the port file to 1.3.9 yet but it’s trivial to edit the dport file yourself (don’t forget to update the md5 checksum!) or to just use the GUI Tool for the time being.

Update. DarwinPorts have updated [...]

October 5th, 2004 · Comments · Uncategorized

subversion 1.1 was released last week. Darwinports has already been updated for the new version. I’ve just compiled and installed it on my client machine, in a day or two I’ll upgrade my server (1.0.x and 1.1 are fully compatible) and then think updating converting my repository to the new fsfs type.

Watson’s Day in the Sun

September 23rd, 2004 · Comments · Uncategorized

Looks like Watson isn’t doing so well under Sun’s umbrella according to this post. I wonder if there is any talk about creating an Open Source alternative to Watson that is compatible with its plug-ins?

Finally an update to NetNewsWire

September 22nd, 2004 · Comments · Uncategorized

I’ve been getting slightly annoyed with NetNewsWire 1.x recently and have been considering switching to another newer RSS aggregator. I was beginning to think that Brent had abandoned development. But lo and behold a public beta of NetNewsWire! Serendipitously I downloaded it an hour or so before the announcements made the usual Mac news sites. [...]
